What We Take For Granted

This weekend I watched this movie called The 5th Wave with my mom. What we both thought that stood out to us was how the main character, a teenage girl, talked about how we don’t realize all that we take for granted and how it could be taken from us at any second and how much our world could change. Just basic things like electricity and fresh water.

It makes me realize how dependent we are on artificial things that could easily fail us in the future. It was kind of a wake up call for how we need to conserve and work on saving our planet before we lose it.

It also makes me wonder if it would change people holistically. Not only change their lifestyle, but their outlook on the world that would no longer be artificial.
