McDonalds, Kentucky Fried Chicken, Burger King, Wendy’s, and many other fast food restaurants. What do they all have in common? They all have very tasty food. Everybody likes fast food. If you don’t, you must have never had it. Personally, I think McDonalds have the best tasting fast food. But I can’t remember the last time I had it because it was a long tome ago.
Many people who have fast food as a common meal in there diet throughout the week will end up having many negative effects in their future. Some people may eat it and not think about the kind of food it is, some people may not care what happens to them because it’s cheap, and delicious. Some effects on eating too much fast food are listed below:
- One of the most common effects that people know about fast food is obesity. Eating a lot of fast food on a regular basis will increase your chances of getting fat and going obese.
- You will get hungry faster compared to eating non fast food. Although you may eat a meal of fast food that may seem a lot, the high calories in the fast food are accompanied by very low nutritional content. That means that if you eat what you think is a lot of fast food, it won’t satisfy your body on the amount of energy it needs from and, and therefore will starve.
- Fast food are made up of saturated fatty acids. When eating too much fast food over time, these fats can raise the blood cholesterol levels, and lead to heart disease.
- Sodium nitrate and sodium nitrite are additives used to maintain meat color and to inhibit bacterial growth in fast food. Both chemicals can break down into nitrosamines, substances with the potential to cause cancer.
These are just 4 of the many problems that fast food will cause to your body. However, there;s nothing wrong with eating fast food once in a while. Eating it once to twice a week is good enough. Just don’t eat it like once a day, because that will affect your health in your future.
