How to Tighten Pores (Part 1)

Everyone seems to have a problem with enlarged pores. People all around complain about the size of their pores and the blackheads that come along with it all. However, there steps you can take clear out and tighten the pores on your face.

One of the first things to do in order to shrink the appearance of pores is to clean them out. How?  First, we should understand how we get those dreaded blackheads in the first place. Blackheads are basically are small bumps that appear on your skin due to clogged hair follicles. These bumps are called “blackheads” because the surface looks dark or black. Blackheads appear on our face because of the amount of sebum on our face and the mixture of excess of oils in our pores, usually in our nose because the nose has the biggest pores. When this mixture oxidizes, it turns into a dark color.

So how do we get rid of these nasty blackheads? One way is through the use of nose strips. A really recommended one is a product from Taiwan called the My Scheming Blackhead Acne Removal Activated Carbon 3 Steps Mask Set. This three step mask set helps open up the pores to make the the second step, extraction of blackheads easier, and refine the pores to keep blackheads from coming back.

If you’d rather go for a more natural approach, you can also use an egg mask. First, you use warm or hot water to open up the pores. Then you whip up some egg whites until becomes frothy. Afterwards, you use a clean brush to apply the egg white on to your problem spots. On top of this egg white layer, take strips of toilet paper and place it on. Then apply more egg white over the toilet paper to keep it in place. Let this the egg white on your face harden and peel it off. To close your pores, you can splash cold water onto your face.

One way I personally feel helps clean out my pores is using the 4-2-4 cleansing technique otherwise known as the double cleansing technique. First, you remove dirt and makeup off with cleansing oil by messaging the cleansing oil into your skin for four minutes. Then, you wash off the oil with a foam cleanser for 2 minutes. Lastly, you rinse it all off with clean water. First, with hot or warm water to open and clean out pores. Then, with cold water to close them. After doing this, I noticed my skin has gotten mush softer and the blackhead are much less prominent.

Now that you know some ways to clean out your pores, you start your pore tightening journey. Good luck with your mission to tighten your pores!
