Very recently, the topic of women voters has become popular. Many people are saying that as a woman, they feel obliged to vote for Clinton because she too is a woman. In my opinion, this is a terrible policy of picking who you want to be the next leader of our country. Yes, Clinton is qualified and whatnot. But you simply looking at gender politics is not enough to sufficiently determine who complies with otherĀ  qualifications. Clinton could be a crazy person, would you still vote for her then just because you’re both women? Also, this weird idea of being a “good feminist” is just being reinforced in this election. Someone that I recently spoke to about this told me she was voting for Clinton because she was a feminist. Feminism is not defaulting to the woman because she’s a woman, it’s recognizing that she is just as valid of a candidate as Sanders is.
